Sed rates are one of the most commonly performed lab tests in the world. As laboratory resources become scarcer, it is critical to avoid extra time spent on traditional ESR testing. iSED® PRO, the most advanced high-volume ESR system, significantly improves laboratory efficiency by providing virtually instantaneous results with rack-based, fully automated ESR testing.
Using the iSED® technology trusted by thousands of labs worldwide, iSED® PRO brings the same novel approach to ESR by directly measuring RBC aggregation during rouleaux formation. Measuring an earlier part of the sedimentation process allows for greater sample stability (up to 28 hours at room temperature), vastly improving ESR sample logistics for reference labs.
iSED® PRO uses common hematology racks and can accommodate STAT testing. New state-of-the art features enhance overall user experience with automated QC scheduling and onboard storage of consumables. Capped primary EDTA tubes are loaded onto the analyzer via racks, the analyzer determine which samples need an ESR test, and then sample mixing, aspiration, and reading (without the use of per-test disposables) is performed by iSED® PRO for true walkway automation.
